50 Facts to Remember When You Think God Doesn’t Care

50 facts to remember when you think God doesn't care about you thumbnail (person looking at sky)Have you ever thought God just doesn’t care about you?

I admit that I have.

It wasn’t because I was a “bad” Christian or that I didn’t have faith in Him though—it was more so that I felt let down.

My faith in God was supposed to shield me from suffering. It was supposed to give me friends who cared about me. It was supposed to make life so much more enjoyable than it was.

I didn’t fit in with stereotypical Christians and I definitely didn’t fit in with the world, so it seemed my faith only isolated me. And no matter how much I prayed, it was rare to ever feel satisfied with the apparent response.

A loving God would intervene, I thought. All the talk in Scripture about Him being a protector, a comforter, and a blessing-giver felt like a slap in the face.

It was difficult to remember the goodness of God’s character when that goodness didn’t align with my experience. I’ve since learned, however, that the God who never changes is always worthy of my trust no matter what.

I want you to come to that same conclusion. That’s why I’ve gathered 50 facts for you to remember when you think God doesn’t care.

These encouraging facts aren’t simply ideas from my own mind though. Each of them has direct biblical support I’ll reference here as well.

These 50 facts have made me confident in who God is and that He always cares for me, and I pray they do the same for you.

He’s the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever

person worshipping God now that his perspective changed and he knows God caresHopefully these 50 facts helped you understand the truth about God and how much He cares for you.

Scripture has plenty evidence like this of God’s loving care for His people, but the greatest of all is His demonstrated love through the Person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus laid down His life for His sheep, He wept over those close to Him, and He forgave followers who stumbled and even called them His friends.

Jesus showed us exactly who God is and how much He cares, and we know He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8).

God’s character will never change, so that means your perspective about Him should.

Remind yourself of who God really is, trust that He would never leave you, and know that you’ll always have at least one friend by your side.
